This is a German K98k manufactured by one of the most sought after makers J.P. Sauer & Sohn. Barrel markings S/147 built in 1937 (caliber in 8mm). This rifle has many early pre war (wings down) and war time (wings out) swastikas present. This rifle features a 24 barrel, laminated wood stock, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, adjustable sights, sling mounting points, and metal butt plate. The rifle is in good condition with a bright bore, strong rifling and smooth action. This is a very nice early rifle with machined milled parts vs the stamped parts which were used on the late war rifle production.
